CLINTON THUNDER

Saturday's Game

This Saturday the THUNDER played another hard fought game against the PURPLE PYTHONS. Both teams played great. Again, the pace was fast and the positioning for both teams was excellent. This was another defensive battle with all of the goalies playing extremely well. The THUNDER came out very offensive minded in the first half. The girls were really pushing the ball up well. The front line did a great job of passing the ball and again, with a little bit of good luck, we could have scored a couple of goals. The first half ended a 0-0 tie.

The second half was similar to the first half, with a lot of up and down the field action. Again both teams had their chances to score, and finally in the 50th minute Jaime started the scoring with a very nice coast to coast run that ended with a good low shot from the 18 that was able to get by the PYTHON's keeper. The THUNDER kept up the defensive pressure and it appeared that the girls were going to pull out the victory when the PYTHONS were able to score in minute 60. The game ended in a 1 to 1 tie.
